Gaurav Gupta is a Professor at the Yogananda School of AI, Computers and Data Sciences at Shoolini University. He earned a BE degree in 2006 from Dr BR Ambedkar University, Agra, followed by a postgraduate degree in 2011 and a PhD in 2019 in Computer Science Engineering from KSOU-VIT, Karnataka, and Shoolini University, respectively.
With over 13 years in academia, Gupta has contributed extensively to research and scholarship. His work includes international scientific papers, reviews, book chapters, book reviews, and both authored and edited books published by IEEE, Elsevier, Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, and Wiley. In addition, he has presented papers at conferences and published popular science and web-based articles, accumulating 138 citations, an h-index of 5, and an i10-index of 4. More than 12 books have been published under his name through national and international publishing houses.
His current research spans machine learning applications in diverse domains, with a strong focus on healthcare and agriculture. Innovations include a mobile health application and Android toolkit developed for Alzheimer’s patients, caregivers, and doctors, along with several AI-enabled tools designed to address challenges in both agriculture and healthcare.
Professor Gupta’s work has earned recognition from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), including the Graduate Award for four consecutive years (2017–2020), the Senior Member Award (2019), and the IEEE Computer Society Award (2020).
He serves as a reviewer for several reputed journals such as the 'International Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Information Systems' (IJAEIS) (IF: 1.6), 'International Journal of E-Health and Medical Communications' (IJEHMC) (IF: 1.4), 'International Journal of Information System Modeling and Design' (IJISMD) (IF: 1.0), 'Scientific Journal JAMME/AMSE International OCSCO World Press', 'ICI Publishers Panel' (IF: 1.2), and 'Walailak Journal of Science and Technology' (WJST) (IF: 0.8). He is also on the editorial board of Artificial Intelligence in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Gupta is a Senior Member of IEEE and actively involved with the IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Young Professionals, and the International Association of Engineers (IAENG). His ongoing research aims to build sustainable, AI-driven systems for disease prediction and diagnosis in healthcare and agriculture.
